It has been an extremely busy jamboree, and the Internet Cafes have been very crowded, making it hard to post daily.
The opening ceremony consisted of a display of flags from every country at the Jamboree. The ceremony went through a history of Sweden, starting from the Viking era, and going all the way to the present day. Our scouts were extremely enthusiastic and loud, singing and chanting with other countries around us. After the opening ceremony, we went to the Dream module, where explored different phases of life. It was very long and tiring, and it ended at about 3am.
The next day was our free day. After breakfast and after finishing our gateway, we were free to wander about the jamboree. We were mainly swapping patches, shirts, and uniforms. Our shirts and patches are trading extremely well, many were impressed by the colorful design of the t-shirt and the double-sided patch. For dinner, we sent two patrols to eat with an Irish troop, and had two Austrian patrols eat with our troop. We prepared fried chicken for the Austrians, and the other patrols ate stew and apples with cinnamon. After dinner, we had fun with Irish and Austrian troops. The two patrols who went to eat with the Irish learned how to play hurling.
On the third day, we visited the Quest module, which involved intricate puzzles and obstacle courses. There was a large dance party at the activity area. Each module took place from 10am to 3pm, and lunch was packed in camp before departure. After the module activity was over, we went out and about the jamboree, swapping items and making new friends.
On the fourth day, we had finally had sun after three straight days of pouring rain. We took part in the People module, where we danced at the city stage and created a new culture. We also interacted with many scouts from different countries. In People, the Garden of Reflection calmed many people with Qi Gong, storytelling, and remembering one's childhood. After the module, we had more free time.
